Path Of Exile Adding Battle Royale Mode For April Fool's Day

Path of Exile is adding a real mode on a fake holiday, and it's pretty good.

The new Path of Exile Royale mode does exactly what you'd think it does: Take the action-RPG gameplay meant for single and co-op grinding and turn it into a multiplayer slugfest where only one player survives.

While the mode only waits only for there to be 20 players in a lobby before starting, up to 100 players can join in on the fun. As with other Battle Royale modes, there's a shrinking circle players must follow to avoid death between bouts with other players. If you manage to actually win one of the modes, you'll receive a Rhoa (which is a kind of dinosaur, which is sort of a chicken?) Dinner ornament to display in your hideout.

You can start playing today once you download the latest patch. 3.2.2.

Where The Water Tastes Like Wine Sells Far Below Expectations, According To Creator

Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is a fantastic, methodical narrative trek across America, according to fellow Game Informer editor Elise Favis. Unfortunately for creator Johnnemann Nordhagen, that hasn't translated to the commercial success he hoped for.

"Commercially, it’s a disaster," Nordhagen said in a postmortem on the game. "I can’t discuss exact numbers, but in the first few weeks fewer people bought the game than I have Twitter followers, and I don’t have a lot of Twitter followers." Currently, Nordhagen has a little over 4,200 followers.

Nordhagen has not made any money on the game, and has in fact lost a hefty sum on it, having paid contractors and collaborators on the game a total of $140,000. "At the end of the day it’s astounding that a game that got this much attention from the press, that won awards, that had an all-star cast of writers and performers, that had a bizarre celebrity guest appearance(!) failed this hard," Nordhagen says in the blog post. "It scares me."

Nordhagen also breaks down what went right and wrong with the game's development. Nordhagen cites the diverse crew of writers he hired to write dialogue and characters for the game, compose music, make art, and voice-act (inlcuding an appearance from Sting), press attention, and the support from his publisher Good Shepherd as what went right.

As to what went wrong, he cites a lack of playtesting as a major issue. "While we had a full QA team, they were focused on finding functional problems," Nordhagen says. "When all the systems were in place, it was very late in development, and playing through the game took 10–20 hours. If you make a 10–20 hour game, guess how long it takes to playtest? And so I only managed to do a few full playthroughs of the game near launch."

Other issues, according to Nordhagen, include a lack of expertise at the business and structural aspects of game development, having to switch artists partway through the project, not optimizing the game for mouse and keyboard (he focused on controller support instead), a crowded and risky indie game development market, and overscoping the project from the start, despite the focus on text and still art.

Nordhaggen then goes on to debrief, stating that while the game was costly, he'll be okay financially, though he plans to move away from the costly San Francisco and go into his next project without the expectation to make money off it. "Basically, I’m not sure that games like this one can continue to be made in the current market," he says.

For anyone who likes peeking behind the veil of game development, Nordhaggen's entire post is worth a read.

[Source: Johnnemann Nordhagen on Medium via PCGamer]

Our Take
While I found myself fascinated by Nordhaggen's deconstruction of his project, reading that an experimental game didn't sell well is always disheartening. Here's to hoping he finds more success with his next project.

See How The Mario Party 8 Mini-Games That Tear Friendships Apart Are Put Together

Mario Party has a long history of making people mad at each other. It's well-earned as losing due to a stroke of luck is one of the most maddening things that can happen to someone. It may not be fitting revenge, but there's a little bit of satisfaction in watching how one of these games are put together.

Shesez is back with another Boundary Break video this, this time on Mario Party 8. Because many of the mini-games use fixed cameras, you can find lots of little curiosities by poking outside the lines. Watch the video to see what Toad is hiding in his hands, why the Chain Chomps might be mad about their housing, and how a bowling mini-game can elicit an unsettling sense of dread with its background.

League Of Legends Getting Pizza And Fried Chicken Skins For 'April Foods' Day

League of Legends is taking a holiday where fake things happen and releasing real DLC. Some of it's paid, some of it's free.

The most notable highlights are three real skins. One dresses up Sivir as a pizza delivery girl, replacing her signature crossblade with a pizza she can hurl at enemies. The second turns Galio into a fried chicken mascot, which I'm kind of surprised hasn't happened earlier. The third gives Draven a skin that gives him an oversized head. Fitting!

Also in the mix are new icons, emotes, color options, and new Birdie capsules and bags (which contain new items to buy), a new map, new missions to unlock in-game currency and items, and bundles. For the full breakdown of what you can get and how, check out the full blog post.

Counter-Strike Caster Users Racial Slur During Birthday Stream

During a livestream celebrating his 29th birthday, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive commentator Matthew "Sadokist" Trivett, uttered a racial slur in a fit of gaming-related braggadocio.

While playing PlayerUnkown's Battlegrounds, Trivett went into a pumped-up rant about his own skill in esports, eventually using a slur. The archive of the stream has since been taken down. We caution that the video uses strong derogatory language, but you can find another archive of the video here.

In a subsequent "Ask me anything," segment following the stream, Dot Esports reports Trivett mentioned he had been drinking during the stream (the tweet has since been deleted). However, he also lashed out against Counter-Strike community members who upset him, asking them to commit suicide. We once again advise that these videos use strong language regarding suicide. You can find an instance of Trevitt doing this here.

Trevitt has since deleted all of his archived streams, but has not made a public statement on the matter as of this writing. Trivett's outburst is another in a recent series of prominent Twitch and esports personalities using slurs and offensive language. Recently, Twitch's biggest star, Ninja, had his own incident, and pro Overwatch player Felix "xQc" Lengyel had one of his own, which Trivett publicly denounced at the time.

Our Take
No matter the context, using racial slurs of any kind in public is not okay, and telling people to kill themselves is just as terrible. Even if when they're used offhandedly, this type of language can be harmful to people of the receiving end, even if they're not the intended target.
And seeing how many people have had major public incidents that have affected their careers, you'd think any popular figure in gaming would watch what they say, both because of how unnecessary this kind of language is and because of the PR nightmare that follows.

Fighting EX Layer Reveals Two More Characteres, Outlines Potential DLC Plans

Fighting EX Layer has revealed two more characters for its roster, and its plans for including DLC characters – assuming the game sells well enough.

The two new characters are only shown briefly, and while they're returning characters, you'd be remiss if you were a fan of the original Street Fighter EX games but didn't recognize them. Hayate, who wields a sword during some of his special moves and supers, sports a very different look, wearing a jacket, t-shirt, and jeans instead of the more traditional garb he wore in EX2. Nanase, introduced in EX3, returns as Sanane ("Nanase" backwards in Japanese), and also sports more modern clothes. She also wields a naginata instead of a bo staff.

In addition to the new characters, developer Arika founder Akira Nishitani outlined a few other plans for the game. First, the game will have another mode beyond arcade, training, versus, and online modes, but didn't reveal what that would be.

Second, Nishitani said the team has plans to release DLC characters after Fighting EX Layer's launch, but only if the game sells well enough. "If we don't reach our target in the first month after release, then [my company] won't make the new characters for me," he said. We then see sketches of a handful of potential DLC characters, all of them familiar faces for EX fans like Sharon, Area, Vulcan Rosso, and Pullum. Considering the revelation of DLC characters, it's likely Hayate and Sanane are the last two characters on the main roster.

The trailer then shifts gears for an April Fool's joke, showing off SNK's Yasuyuuki Oda as Savage Reign's Sho Hayate as a joke character.

Call Of Juarez: Gunslinger Delisted From Some Major Online Storefronts

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is one of the games I don't think about too often, but when I do, I think "yeah, you know what? That game was fun." Unfortunately, it seems like fewer people will be able to experience that feeling, as it's been delisted from major console online storefronts.

The game seems to have been delisted from Steam, PSN, and Xbox Live early Friday. Currently, searching for the game on the PSN store does not bring up results for the game, though it's been available on the storefront before. On Xbox Live, you can find its official store page, but all you can find is the demo. You can also find the demo on Steam if you type the name into the search bar, but clicking on the link to the demo will bring you back to the main store page. The rest of the Call of Juarez games are still available, however.

If you absolutely need to get this game now, however, you have a couple of options. You can still get a digital PS3 code from Amazon, or you can buy the PC version off the Uplay Store.

[Source: Wario64 on Twitter, (2)]

Our Take
It's entirely possible this is one of those slip-ups you could chalk up to negligence. But considering it's effectively gone from everywhere except Uplay (where it's on sale as of this writing), it's easy to see this as a move to make Uplay games more exclusive... but that doesn't seem right either. If that's the case, why Gunslinger, of all games? I'm going to guess this is negligence or some lapsed licence agreement.

Pokémon Go Gets Sprited Up For April Fool's Day

If you're checking out Pokémon Go's new quest system this weekend, you're in for a fun surprise: sprites!

To celebrate the internet's favorite holiday April Fool's Day early, Niantic is replacing the images of Pokémon that show up in Go's menus with their 2D counterparts. This doesn't affect them on the field or during the catching and stats screens, however.

Of course, Niantic also had some fun with the concept on their blog:

Experience Pokémon GO like never before with cutting-edge 8-BIT GRAPHICS! Registering approximately twice the definition of 4K, the chunky squares of each pixel provide realistic detail and unbelievable definition. Your Pokédex will feel lifelike in ways previously unimagined on any handheld device ever created.

Our Take
Honestly, this change should be permanent. It's pretty cool.

What To Watch This Weekend: Dota 2, Tekken 7, And Call of Duty

Regionals, playoffs, and championships all make for a nice weekend to just sit back and watch people play games while you're ignoring Far Cry 5's story.

Dota 2's 7.12 patch showed up late for its own welcoming party, as teams had to play on the previous patch for the first day of the Dota Asia Championship in Shanghai. VP may have already qualified for the event, but seeing who might emerge as the second team to secure an invite (and get the $370,000 first-place price) makes a good case for staying up late on a Saturday night for the group stage (or catching the rebroadcast Sunday morning). (Stream 1Stream 2Schedule)

The League of Legends LCS is coming down to penultimate matches, as the four best teams in North America and Europe face off across the semifinals in the two leagues. (Stream / Schedule)

We've got two major fighting game events this week! Starting off, the yearly Northern California Regionals has your mainstay fighting action, with big-league tournaments for Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, The King of Fighters XIV, and Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite. There's even some community-chosen games, like Arms, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Windjammers, and Pokkén Tournament DX. (Streams and Schedule)

Second, there's Anime Ascension, which features some of the faster-paced, brightly-colored anime games like Dragon Ball FighterZ, Guilty Gear Rev 2, and Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st]. (Streams and Schedule)

Call of Duty: WWII is in Birmingham, England for its World League, but you can watch all the action right at home! (Stream / Schedule)

This week's big Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event is taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark, where both male and female divisions will face off in high-level matches for supremacy. (Stream / Schedule)

The Heroes of the Storm HGC event is still underway, so if you want to see the crossover MOBA in action, strap in for somet matches. (Stream / Schedule)

Meanwhile, if you miss Overwatch and want some high-level action, the Contenders league should give you your fix of high-octane action while you wait for the full League to resume next week. (Stream / Schedule)

Also, Hearthstone is having its Wild Open tournament. It's the biggest tournament where any card is legal, so who knows what card combos will emerge from the chaos! (Stream)

The Rocket League Championship series continues this week, bringing more of the high-level car-soccer action you always wanted as a kid. (Stream / Schedule)

That's it for this weekend! Let us know if we missed an event, or if there's a scene you'd like us to cover, in the comments.

Replay 300 – Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Released on November 16, 2010, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood served as the second chapter in what is now called the Ezio trilogy. As the name of the game implies, Ezio was not alone in this entry. If he needed a hand, he could call in an assassin to strike from the shadows or complete a task in a different region of the world. Brotherhood scored a 9.25 out of 10 from Game Informer critic Matt Miller and is widely considered the most accomplished Assassin's Creed game to date, but maybe not the most important. It sits at number 75 on Game Informer's Top 300 Games of All Time list, not far behind Assassin's Creed II, which is locked in at number 29, and was the game that built the foundation for Brotherhood. These games are held in high accord for numerous reasons, but the biggest one, which unifies the entire trilogy, is just how likeable Ezio is. He was complex, charismatic, conflicted, and we watched him transform into a more responsible person as he aged. It was a fully established character arc that sadly hasn't been repeated by any Assassin's Creed game that followed.

We take a look at the opening hour of the game. Apologies for the lack of Replay Roulette these last two weeks, but we felt these juggernaut releases deserved more time. Replay returns to its normal (and likely terrible) programming next week. See you again in seven days. Enjoy the episode!

Another ARMS Global Test Punch Punches In This Weekend

Nintendo is holding another online demo for ARMS, their Switch boxing-based fighting game, this weekend for players to try for free.

The demo runs from from March 31 through April 3 with a selection of characters from the full roster. A number of characters have been added since the game's last demo, but it isn't known which ones will appear in this weekend's global test punch.

You can go ahead and download the client now ahead of it going live. It might be a good chance to see how you like ARMS after all its updates or just something to play around with over the weekend with people online.

Weekend Warrior – Easter Edition

Happy Easter weekend everyone! If you're not into all of the commotion with bunnies and eggs, that's ok too; it's still a great weekend to play some video games! Here's what some of the Game Informer staff is up to on this deceptively cold spring weekend.

Brian Shea (@BrianPShea) – And from seemingly out of nowhere… AN AVALANCHE OF GAMES! I did, in fact, finish Pokémon Omega Ruby last weekend, so now I’m playing through Far Cry 5 and MLB The Show 18. Both games have their flaws, but I’m enjoying them. In addition, I’d like to finish Yakuza Kiwami prior to the launch of Yakuza 6 next month, but that’s looking less and less likely at this point. Also, I might spend a lot of time looking at my phone this weekend, as I’ve been putting some significant time into Marvel Strike Force this week, and Pokémon Go launched its quest system today. Thankfully, I don’t have any plans this weekend, so I should have plenty of time!

Leo Vader (@leovader) – Last weekend I got ranked in Siege for the first time at Silver 2, which I was quite proud of! As of this writing I’m now down to a gentleman’s Bronze 1. Truly having some of my favorite gaming experiences ever planning and executing strategies with my group, so satisfying to spot the holes in an enemy team’s defense and capitalize on them. I love this game! In the off-hours, Far Cry 5’s Arcade Mode is surprisingly varied and fun to play co-op! Especially the Arcade Hero mode which sends you through random player-created maps one at a time for double XP, which earns you cash and perk points to use in the main game. Overall, a disappointingly cookie cutter game but I think what they have with the Arcade mode is really fun and novel. What can I say, I’m an Ubisoft boy!!! HAGS!!!!

Ben Hanson (@yozetty) – Hi everybody! Oh man oh man. This weekend I’d love to spend more time with Ni No Kuni II, it’s stupid easy but I’m having a wonderful time playing the game so far. Outside of that, maybe I’ll keep dabbling with Far Cry 5. Have a good weekend!

Kyle Hilliard (@KyleMHilliard) – I’m hoping to see Ready Player One this weekend, dig deeper into Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, and do some Easter stuff – if it’s not snowing.

Robbie Key (@RobbieKeyV) – Copy and paste sleeping response from last week.

Jon Bowman (@MrGameAndWrite) – I'll be doing my best to avoid my family as much as I can, so what better way to do that than with video games? I was pretty excited to play Far Cry 5 in co-op until I learned that only the host's story progress is saved, but reading Leo's response to the Arcade mode makes me want to give it a shot. On the flip side, I also want to back to Destiny 2 and see how beastly the "Go Fast" update makes my beloved Dawnblade warlock. Maybe after that I can find a game to play that I won't have to try so hard to like, or just play some more Fortnite.

Suriel Vazquez (@SurielVazquez) – I’ve been playing Far Cry 5 with my brother this week, and while I’m not crazy about the game, it’s just fun enough that I’m going to keep at it. I’m also going to keep plugging away at the Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC. It’s bigger than I thought it was, but I’m starting to get slightly worn by the simple quest design. Finally, Dota Plus has done its job by hooking me on Dota 2 again, so I’ll probably squeeze in a few matches of that in as well.

Joey Thurmond (@DrJoeyStein) – I’m going to play A Way Out this weekend! While I don’t think it will be as revolutionary gameplay-wise as Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was, I’m looking forward to seeing how the changing perspectives influence puzzles, traversal, and whatnot. I’ll also be taking some time to (actually) finish up a book, write up some drafts for articles in progress, and spend time with friends.

Matt Bertz (@mattbertz) – I’m going fishing and bear hunting in Montana – at least that’s my hope. Thus far, the overzealous hillbillies in Far Cry 5 keep getting in the way of my leisure activities, so my outdoorsman pursuits will likely come at the cost of several lives. All those white pickup trucks will have to find new owners, but it’s not my fault. They always shoot first!

Imran Khan (@imranzomg) – I have fallen down a hole in Monster Hunter World again. The Deviljho Great Sword is way better than the Nergigante great sword I JUST MADE, so now I need that one. I’m also continuing to play Kirby Star Allies which, despite its sleepy difficulty (or lack thereof), it is still cute and charming.

Andrew Reiner (@Andrew_Reiner) – My weekend begins with the construction of a Barbie toy for my daughter, and ends with three hours of Overwatch on Sunday night. In between these two events, I hope to tackle as much Far Cry 5 as possible. I also want to see Ready Player One again, this time with my wife, who is just as big of a pop-culture nerd as me.

Persona 5 Anime U.S. Airing Simulcast Starting April 7

The Persona 5 anime, an adaptation of the game's storyline, will be airing in the U.S. on streaming services day and date with the Japanese broadcast courtesy of Aniplex USA.

The anime is in line with the Persona 4 anime, following the game's protagonist – here named Ren Amamiya – awakening his Persona and forming the phantom thieves in Tokyo. Earlier this year, Aniplex USA released an English-subtitled version of the anime's first trailer, which you find below.

(Please visit the site to view this media)

You can stream the anime the same day it broadcasts in Japan on both Crunchyroll and Hulu. Most of the Japanese cast is returning to reprise their roles and composer Shoji Meguro will also be composing for the show.

Our Take
The Persona 4 anime mostly excelled at showing the S.Links as deeper characters, which Persona 5 also tried to do in its main game, so I am curious if this adaptation takes a different strategy. I'm interested to see at least the first few episodes and see how well it handles the transition.

Fortnite Mobile Adds Tip To Stop Playing In Class

Fortnite mobile is making life hard for teachers as classroom after classroom succumbs to its spell. Now, Epic has a loading screen message about it.

The little message, which reads "Mr. Hillman says stop playing in class" has been added to the game's loading screen and was posted today by Fortnite's community manager K.L. Smith. It is a reference to a now-deleted Reddit post from the Fortnite subreddit which read:

Since mobile came out my students won’t stop playing in class. Idk if it’s possible, but I told them I’d write you and they didn’t believe me. Could you add this to the loading screen for a couple days to mess with them?

“Mr. Hillman says stop playing in class”

The post got comments like "Epic don't let his memes just be dreams" and "Just ban phone chargers in your class. Your students will only be able to play two games before their phones die and they’ll have to pay attention."

Epic has added the message specifically for Mr. Hillman's class. If you're not in Mr. Hillman's class, I'm not sure what the rules on this are, but it's probably a good idea not to risk it.

Our Take
Mr. Hillman won this battle, but I think the war belongs to the students.

Date Death In Let It Die Spin-Off Let It Date

While mystery still surrounds the nature of Let It Die's upcoming event involving content for Killer7, Grasshopper Manufacture has announced an even more... interesting idea with Let It Date: a dating simulator that will release as its own game on PlayStation 4.

Players will be able to ascend the Tower of Barbs not through skill, but with style as they experience the game's unique brand of dialogue by romancing main characters from Let It Die. We're not entirely sure who will be "dateable" other than Uncle Death, but whatever waifu or husbando you choose to court in Let It Date, there's nothing quite like making the reaper your senpai when he's viewed you as his own for so long.

Be sure to check out Daniel Tack's review for the game to see why it made Elise Favis' list of the greatest modern horror games. You can also read our interview with the mastermind (Suda51) behind it all.

Batman: The Enemy Within Series Review – The Thrill And Terror Of Making Monsters

The first season of Telltale’s Batman did an admirable job creating a version of Gotham unlike any other, with Bruce Wayne carefully managing his relationships with confidantes and would-be friends when he wasn’t punching out thugs in alleyways. Though there have been a thousand stories about the origin of Batman, Telltale’s emphasis on how choices dictate allies and enemies made this version particularly compelling. Having established this anything-goes version of Batman’s world, the second season focuses on his greatest nemesis: the Joker.

This second outing starts off rough, with the Riddler showing up in Gotham city to wreak havoc in a killing spree. He’s soon joined by fan favorites Amanda Waller, Harley Quinn, and a host of rogues from Batman’s universe. Telltale puts too many moving pieces on the board, and tedious puzzles and ludicrous plot twists (like one involving an undisguised Bruce Wayne having to infiltrate a group of supervillains) made me question whether the set-up would ever pay off.

(Please visit the site to view this media)

About midway through the season, something special happens: The majority of puzzles and superfluous plot threads disappear, and the relationship between the Joker (a.k.a. John Doe) and Batman takes center stage. Doe is close to Harley and provides a way to gain her trust. However, he’s also mentally unstable, childlike, and desperately wants to to earn your affection and respect. The way my interactions unfolded with the clown prince made it feel like this relationship was a living thing, constantly taking new shape, wriggling just beyond my control thanks to Doe’s unpredictable reactions.

At its core, The Enemy Within is a series of ethical dilemmas centered on friendship, and all those scenarios build to something fascinating and explosive. Just who is John Doe to me? Is he my friend? Someone I’m using for my own personal gain? Is he an irredeemable psychopath, or a man who can use his talents to fight for the greater good? These questions are all Joker-centric concepts that the Batman comics have tackled before, but The Enemy Within shines because it puts us in control of sculpting this iconic character.

Telltale has received plenty of earned criticism over the years regarding choices with too little impact, with series that effectively end in the same way no matter what players do. The Enemy Within upends that. Depending on your interactions with Doe throughout the series, his eventual transformation serves as a catalyst for the finale, with two radically different Jokers that lead to separate (yet equally satisfying) conclusions. The final episode in the series completely changes, with unique episodes telling completely different stories depending on whether or not Joker has joined you as a vigilante or become your nemesis. Both of those paths end whatever side you’ve chosen with thrilling (and heartbreaking) finales that perfectly cap off your adventure through Gotham.

For my part, I felt torn. I tried to serve Gotham, but I also saw John Doe as a person. I wanted to believe he could be good, not just because that would be an interesting twist, but because the Doe’s characterization and dialog is so well done that I was sympathetic to him at all times. Bruce and John also have a buddy-comedy chemistry, with Doe often wide-eyed and making goofy jokes that provide stark contrast to Bruce’s stoic nature.

(Please visit the site to view this media)

The second season’s writing has a surprising amount of craft behind it. I felt like every decision I made was a poor one, but I wasn’t forced into that box in an artificial way. Bruce and John are two people who find themselves in an awful situation. They have different needs from one another and from society as a whole, and what emerges from that combination is disastrous and heart-wrenching, but also compelling.

Beyond superb storytelling, the more traditionally gamey (and often criticized) elements of Telltale’s oeuvre also improve with that halfway point story switch. The puzzles all but disappear, and the quick-time combat scenes have an enjoyable level of creativity, with brutality backed by convincing sound design. These improvements help the story jet along at a nice pacing toward end, refusing to let any obstacle stand between you and the unfolding story.

Despite a flawed start, The Enemy Within emerges as one of Telltale’s best series and one of my favorite narrative-focused games in years. It goes all-in on allowing players to shape the intricacies of Joker and Bruce’s relationship, and it pays off marvelously. As the game sped toward its memorable and beautiful conclusion(s), I couldn’t help but just think how smart the series was, manipulating my emotions much in the same way I had manipulated John. As the credits rolled on my second playthrough, I still felt a lingering desire to dive back in from the beginning, not to see if any of new choices would dramatically shift the story but instead to experience this masterfully told story one last time.

Level-5 Says All Future Main Titles Will Be On Switch

Akihiro Hino, the CEO of Level-5, has told Japanese website Nikkei Trendy that they plan to focus mostly on the Switch from hereon out.

Level-5, the developers behind games like Professor Layton, Inazuma 11, and recently Ni No Kuni II, told the website that were going to end up doing a lot of their games on Nintendo's hybrid system in the future.

"Basically, in the future our main titles will all be released on Nintendo Switch," Hino said. "The idea is that what we have created for 3DS will move over to Switch.”

Hino was, at first, quite skittish about the system. As a successor to the Wii U, Level-5 treated the Switch rather tepidly at first, but Hino appears to be on board now. The initiative to bring games to the system begins with Snack World, another Level-5 cross-media project that has faced quite a few struggles since its announcement in 2016. The game originally launched on 3DS but a Switch version was announced earlier this year.

What Level-5 games do you want to see on the Switch? Let us know below in the comments.

Our Take
Hino was justifiably skeptical of the system to begin with, but I fear they might be playing catch-up now. Level-5's business plan involves creating multimedia franchises that rule Japan for a few years before moving on to the next one, so I wonder if the Switch's slightly older demographics versus the 3DS will allow them to keep doing that.

Funny To A Point – Getting Stupid In Far Cry 5

Far Cry 5 is now out in the wild, and the game definitely qualifies as more Far Cry. Luckily, being stupid makes everything more fun.

I've been playing a lot of Far Cry 5 over the past two weeks, and like most of these dumb columns, I originally planned to write up a long and meandering hodgepodge of impressions and jokes about the game. However, there's just one problem with that approach: Our Far Cry 5 reviewer and excellently named Jeff Cork summed up pretty much everything I was feeling about the game in his review. Even worse, he snuck a wickedly punny headline past Joe. So that's impressions and jokes! Considering we played almost the entire game together in co-op, it felt like quite the betrayal (don't worry, we're over it now).

Anyway, while I didn't care much for the can-you-believe-how-bad-I-am villains that are constantly monologuing at you or the pared down activities (if I can't craft my own XXL-sized wallet out of the skin of whatever animal I just shotgun-blasted in the face, I'm OUT), I still had a good amount of fun with Far Cry 5. It just wasn't scripted fun – Cork and I excelled at making our own hijinks-infused entertainment, which I captured via PS4's recording feature.

So, without further ado, here are 14 funny/surprising/patently stupid moments that perfectly encapsulate my time with Far Cry 5.

(Please visit the site to view this media)

The Unimpressed Fisherman
Ignore the terrifyingly glitchy semi-truck and Cork's horrid ATV skills – what really cracks me up in this clip is the reaction of our fishing friend. What has this guys seen is his life to not even bat an eye at our reckless display? Also, this clip pretty much sums up every road trip when Cork is behind the wheel.

(Please visit the site to view this media)

My Co-op Partner Is A Monster
Don't believe me about Cork? Consider this Evidence B. We both unwittingly jumped into the backseat of this poor civilian's sedan, only to have him start driving aimlessly across a bridge. I asked Cork if our driver was smart enough to drive to our destination, but we didn't get a chance to find out – instead Cork shot him pointblank with his shotgun, and then climbed over into the driver's seat. Fair enough. I got out and barely managed to get into the passenger's seat as he took off (I have a sneaking suspicion he was trying to ditch me) – only to watch him unapologetically run over our pet bear! What a monster!

From there the clip devolves into the standard action you'd expect from Far Cry, but I love how Cork still had a cheery enough attitude to honk the horn along to the music. Again: MONSTER.

(Please visit the site to view this media)

The Miracle Takeoff
Cork has a penchant for immediately crashing anything with four wheels, but two wheels and two wings is a completely different story. Turns out Cork is an amazingly adept pilot. Sure, his first attempted takeoff immediately sends us careening down the side of a cliff, but after that he manages to get airborne by driving up the side of a tree! Now that's an ace!

(Please visit the site to view this media)

Air Swimming
Another thing Cork is great at? Swimming through the air, apparently. At least I think that's what he's doing – after he bailed out of our helicopter, I watched him majestically paddle his way through the air and somehow stick the landing on the ground. Seriously, how did he do that?!

(Please visit the site to view this media)

Parachute Delay
This bad guy clearly doesn't have the same gravity-defying skills. I mean, I guess he has some kind of gravity-defying skills, but they don't work out in his favor. Christ almighty, indeed!

(Please visit the site to view this media)

Old Lady Kicking
Look, I can't condone all the things Cork and I did while playing Far Cry 5. But in my defense, this old lady looks really funny when she falls down. Also, she had a seriously negative attitude – even before we started kicking her! So yeah, maybe repeatedly kicking an old lady is rude, but in a way she started it. AND it's funny. Can you really blame us?

(Please visit the site to view this media)

Bad Day At HQ
Alright, there's no defending this one, really – Cork and I just decided on a whim to see how many NPC allies we could punch the crap out of. The one thing that's missing from the video, however, is Cork laughing maniacally over his headset at their constant screaming. It was good times.

I also like how quickly everyone gets over it at the end – a deadly cult has taken over the county, so let's just let bygones be bygones, eh?

(Please visit the site to view this media)

Stealth Shooting
Sure, you can equip silencers on your weapons – but what's more stealthy than invisible guns? Sadly the glitch only lasted a few minutes before triggering a quest made them appear again.

(Please visit the site to view this media)

Hold That Thought
The NPCs in Far Cry 5 can be unpredictable to say the least. So how do you make conversations appear fluid and realistic like in real life when something unintentional happens? I don't know, but this ain't it.

(Please visit the site to view this media)

That Was My Dog...
Other times NPCs are surprisingly disinterested in what's going on around them. Like this jerk quest giver. Where's PETA when you need them?!

(Please visit the site to view this media)

Ally Down
That disregard for life even extends to themselves sometimes! This one particularly had me cracking up, because the quest giver was in the middle of a painfully long story about an enemy named "The Cook," who burned his victims alive. Maybe you can't blame him for all the fire-related deaths in Hope County though...

(Please visit the site to view this media)

A Strange Encounter Pt. I
I don't even know what the heck was going on here, and I don't want to know!

(Please visit the site to view this media)

A Strange Encounter Pt. II
Thankfully, Cork was on hand to snap them out of it. In his own way.

Far Cry 5's Most Exciting Side Mission!
And finally, I recorded the entirety of Far Cry 5's most exciting side mission! It tasks you with saving a bear named Cheeseburger from invading cultists. After tracking him down with Cork, I fed the captive bear a fish to unlock the next objective, but it unexpectedly locked me in place in return. Still, based on the gunshots, explosions, and banjo music, it certainly sounds like an exciting mission!

For more Far Cry 5 shenanigans, check out the archive of the Sick Stunts Livestream Bonanza that we did earlier this week. It's basically just two more hours of Cork and I blowing each other up in the name of shenanigans. That is the best part of Far Cry, after all!

PUBG's Smaller, Tropical Map Enters Testing Next Week

PUBG's newest map, Codename: Savage, is venturing away from its mountainous and desert backdrops to tinier tropics, and players can try it out soon.

Savage enters its testing phase at 7 p.m. PDT on Monday and runs until 4 a.m. PDT on Thursday. "We’re doing this because we want to start getting your feedback as soon as possible and drive the development in the right direction," an official PUBG post on Steam says. Details on how to participate have yet to be shared, though the allotment is finite. "At first, we are going to do a more limited test for Codename: Savage to make sure that nothing is too broken" the post says. "Again, it’s a super early build, we hope you understand. The next test will be bigger!"

The tropic map, which was first announced last week to celebrate PUBG's one-year anniversary, adopts a 4-by-4 grid compared to the original and dessert maps' 8-by-8 size. For further perspective on Savage's size, it's slightly bigger than Fortnite's Battle Royale map, at least according to some early player calculations.

(Please visit the site to view this media)

Only one map is currently available on the Xbox One and mobile versions, though it's safe to assume the 4-by-4 setting and dessert area will eventually at least come to the Xbox One iteration.

Our Take
While PUBG's bigger and lengthier maps are parts of its identity, a smaller, less time-consuming setting could make for a nice change of pace to matches.

Twitch Layoffs Target Major Players

Twitch is being hit with layoffs targeting some of its major players, according to a report.

Esports journalist Rod Breslau is reporting on Twitter that the company has laid off "more than 25 people from the Twitch Studios and Community/Marketing teams yesterday, including several high-profile employees who have been with the company since Twitch began."

Among the employees laid off were major content creators and executives, including director of strategic partnerships Jon Carnage, video production manager Adam Contini, director of content marketing Ben "FishStix" Goldhaber, and vice president of community and social Justin Wong. Goldhaber recently posted a tweet saying he'd had "a pretty good run" with the company, implying he has indeed been let go.

According to Breslau, the layoffs were said to be due to Twitch "overhiring" employees and having to readjust. The layoffs were done by VP of Content Michael Aragon, who Breslau reports was not in the office that day and conducted the layoffs through a remote call, and that affected employees were told to leave immediately.

You can read Breslau's entire thread on the layoffs by clicking the tweet below.

A Twitch spokesperson provided the following statement regarding the layoffs:

Coming off the record-setting numbers shared in our 2017 Retrospective, Twitch is continuing to grow and advance with success stories from Overwatch League to Fortnite's milestone-setting streams. In order to maintain this momentum, we have an aggressive growth strategy for 2018 with plans to increase our headcount by approximately 30%. While we've conducted team adjustments in some departments, our focus is on prioritizing areas most important for the community.

Our Take
Restructuring happens all the time at major companies, but seeing major, recognizable faces being let go seems somewhat strange. Also, if you're going to lay people off, you should at least be able to do it in-person instead of through a video screen.

Colin Trevorrow Returning For Third Jurassic World Movie

Colin Trevorrow, the director of the first Jurassic World movie, is returning to helm the third one.

The news was confirmed today by Jurassic Overlord Steven Spielberg in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Trevorrow, who directed the first movie, passed on directing the sequel Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom after being tapped to work on Star Wars: Episode IX instead. Trevorrow and Disney split on that project and Trevorrow was replaced by J.J. Abrams.

The third movie is currently being penned by Trevorrow and screenwriter Emily Carmichael, who also worked on Pacific Rim: Uprising, with an intention for a June 2021 release. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will release on June 22 later this year.

Guacamelee 2 Is Coming To Steam

Guacamelee 2, the sequel to 2013's heavyweight champion of indie darlings, is coming to PC via Steam (previously, the game had only been announced for PS4). To celebrate in style, Drinkbox Studios announced that they're taking 90% off of their games on Steam. If you have a couple bucks to spare and are into Metroidvania games, the original Guacamelee is well worth your time.

Telltale Releases Teaser Images For Walking Dead's Final Season

Indie developer and publisher Telltale Games has teased two pictures to promote The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

The first image – shown at the top with a caption on Twitter that simply reads "..." – shows dozens of walkers in a grassy field drawn to protagonist Clementine's hat, which has some blood stains. With an ax in hand, Clementine is bracing season two's Alvin Jr. from zombies in the second photo, shown below. As one Twitter user pointed out, this teaser with Clementine for The Final Season is a reflection of her father, Lee, protecting her from an attack during the series' first season.

Telltale is planning to reveal gameplay for Clementine's finale during a panel from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. EST on April 6 at PAX East. Those who wish to watch the panel can go to PAX's Twitch channel here.

Find out Clementine's fate when The Final Season is available this summer.

Our Take
It's hard to fathom the series that helped put Telltale and choice-driven narrative games in the spotlight is coming to an end – well, at least Clementine's arc is. We hope it goes out on a high note, though if the series' numerous dark turns are any indication, it might not be the happy one we secretly want.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance's Latest Patch Fixes Over 200 Major Bugs, Adds Literal Easter Eggs

After a bug-ridden and messy launch, Kingdom Come Deliverance developer Warhorse game has been busy patching things up. Their latest patch should hopefully plug a number of holes, but also comes with some new hairstyles.

For most players, the most welcome news in the 1.4 patch is the fixing of "200 major bugs," which should hopefully make wandering around medieval Bohemia a little less grueling and chaotic. In addition to all of those, issues with the "House of God" and "Mightier than the Sword" quests have been resolved, as has an issue with the Rattay archery not working on advanced difficulty.

The patch also has a couple of Easter-related inclusions. First, it adds "Real Easter Eggs," which includes a special golden egg (the benefits and prize attached to the golden egg were left vague) and an Easter-themed "Pomlázka," weapon. Second, the patch "revives" a number of NPCs who were killed by physics glitches, tying into Easter's resurrection theme.

Other additions include new hairstyles for protagonist Henry (along with new hair and beard "mechanics") as well as "Unarmed mercy" kills, which should give players more options with solving quests. Finally, a new HD texture and audio pack should give those with powerful PCs reason to rejoice.

Warhorse did not nail down an exact date for the patch, saying only that they're shooting for "sometime next week.... hopefully."

[Source: Warhorse Games on Steam]

Our Take
It's a bittersweet feeling to see a patch that fixes 200 major bugs. Of course you want those things to be fixed, but that they had to be fixed in the first place is disappointing. Still, it's a good step forward, and hopefully the start of more to come.

Jeff Goldblum Reacts To The Lost World's Ending On PlayStation One

If you've been a fan of Game Informer for a while, you might remember how much we all enjoyed watching Jeff Goldblum's secret ending to The Lost World: Jurassic Park in an old episode of Replay. Recently while checking out Jurassic World Evolution at an event (you can watch us play the game here) we had the opportunity to interview the one and only Jeff Goldblum about reprising the role of Ian Malcom for the game. We had to use this chance to ask him about recording the game's ending and what it means to have "the stink blown off ya".

God Of War To Receive Performance Mode on PS4 Pro

Keeping in line with what Shadow Of The Colossus did in February, God Of War director Cory Barlog has announced that PS4 Pro players will be able to play the game in performance mode. When asked, Barlog did not specify that the game would play in 60 FPS but simply said that it would be "smooth."

He did confirm that the performance mode was for the Pro only with a tweet:

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Joins Xbox One Backwards Compatible List

One of the most significant first-person shooters of the last two decades is now playable on Xbox One without buying a remastered version.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the last time the series has attached a number before the colon, is confirmed backwards compatible by Major Nelson on Twitter today. One of the most popular first-person shooters of last generation, Modern Warfare charted a middle ground between the fast-paced shooters of the 1990s and the slower shooters that had defined the series so far.

As always, all you have to do is pop in the Xbox 360 disc in your Xbox One for the console to start downloading a copy of the game. If you have the game digitally already, you can find it ready to download, or just straight up buy the game now. As a backwards compatible game, its player pool is pulled from the Xbox 360 version of the game and not the recent remaster with some changes to the multiplayer.

Our Take
Regardless of what you think about the direction the series took after Modern Warfare, it's impossible to deny its impact. A lot of people swear by Modern Warfare being the best one and should be able to find a new playerbase again.

Life Is Strange Comic Adaptation Announced

Titan Comics, the publisher that takes licenses properties and adapts them for comics, has announced an adaptation of Dontnod and Square-Enix's Life is Strange.

There aren't a ton of details, as Titan has not announced either the writer or artist for the adaptation yet. They have said it brings back familiar characters and returns to the setting of Arcadia Bay, specifically Blackwell Academy, so it is likely to be a straight adaptation of Dontnod's original game. It's possible that it will incorporate some of the illuminated backstory from Before the Storm, as well.

Titan has also produced comics based on Wolfenstein, Bloodborne, Tekken, and The Evil Within.

[Source: GameSpot]

Our Take
Titan adaptations can be hit or miss, but most of that comes down to the writer and illustrator they have for the project. Hopefully as a narrative game, Life is Strange works a lot better for an adaptation.

FoxNext VP & General Manager Talks Working With Marvel And Getting The X-Men License

In January 2017, 20th Century Fox formed FoxNext, a new division to head up the company's video game, virtual reality, and theme park initiatives. From an upcoming shooter based in the Alien cinematic universe to a recent adventure game with the Planet of the Apes license, FoxNext has worked with multiple development studios to create games using the IPs that Fox controls. The latest game to launch under the FoxNext banner is Marvel Strike Force, a turn-based strategy game centered on assembling the various characters across the Marvel universe to take on a multidimensional threat.

I spoke with FoxNext Games' vice president and general manager Amir Rahimi about what it's like to work with Marvel, as well as FoxNext's initiatives as a whole. You can check out our discussion below.

FoxNext is Fox's big push into the video game space. The benefit of this is that you have Marvel, Alien, and all these different properties. What was the big-picture goal for Fox when establishing FoxNext?
The way that they talked to me about it, and the vision as I understand it, is they are really sincere about owning the future of storytelling. They've clearly mastered that across film and television, and they want to take that into the interactive space. What I love about Fox as a company is that they're so mature when it comes to their thinking about creatives. They really understand that the creative people are at the center of these endeavors; you don't always get that at other companies. A lot of times, it's really technology-focused or really business-focused. These guys let creators be creative and innovate. I really, really love that.

What they define as interactive storytelling is really broad and they leave that up to us as the creatives to determine what that means. For our San Francisco studio Fogbank, it means something much closer to what Fox does. They're going to be doing some interesting narrative games. For us down in L.A., it means giving players the tools and empowering the players to fulfill a fantasy and tell their own stories through deep, meaningful interactions. So we really focus on the social. We love creating a game where all the drama comes from interactions between the players.

How does the team determine which properties to pursue for a game?
Again, the coolest thing about being with Fox is that it's not a top-down thing; they really let us decide. We handle it from a couple of different directions. One, we look at the expertise of our team and the passions of our team, and we try to figure out what gameplay patterns we would be best at. Like, our creative director on Marvel, Jason Bender, was one of the lead designers on the Diablo III console version, and was a senior designer on the game proper.

We've always loved turn-based strategy games, so we've been prototyping a turn-based strategy game for many years now. When we have a sense of what the mechanics, we look across media to see if there is a property that fits it like a glove. If there isn't, we'll create our own IP. In this case, there's no better universe in the world than Marvel for a turn-based strategy game that's about collecting a roster of heroes and using them. It's just ideal. It's perfect. At the time, we were Kabam, we had relationships with Marvel, so we had an in and we were able to get the license.

With Avatar, it was kind of a similar calculus. We have a long history of doing real-time strategy games; a long time ago, we were the Command & Conquer team at EA. We made several Command & Conquer and Lord of the Rings RTSs. Talking to the folks at Lightstorm and seeing what they have in store for their sequels, we were super inspired. All of us, hearing about what they have in store, we just envisioned the perfect strategy game.

What I love about Fox is they don't even care if we use IP; they really want to innovate and do what's best for our industry. If we would have pitched new IPs, they would have been fine with it. Although, it helps when you're working on their most important franchise in Avatar, and one of their most important franchises in Marvel.

Do you have any interactions with the creative teams behind the film properties?
We do. Our primary contact is a guy by the name of Bill Rosemann [Marvel Games executive creative director], who is just a freaking legend. Having a drink with that guy and just asking him about the Marvel universe is so fun and so entertaining. We get almost everything we need from him and the Marvel Games team.

Avatar hasn't had very many games, but IPs like Alien and Marvel have had a million different games based on them. How do you differentiate your games from the experiences that have already been presented?
We have some really awesome innovations in Marvel. The way that we've chosen to innovate when it comes to this particular Marvel game is through a few different vectors. One is the combat, and the interactions you have in combat. We're delivering a degree of cinematic action and quality that I don't think has ever been done before in a mobile game. There's been a lot of squad-based games out there, but not a lot of them actually let you team up your guys. It's like, one guy attacks, the other guy attacks, and they go back and forth like that. We're doing some really cool stuff with team-ups. You can team up in many different ways, and if you have iconic pairs of characters, you can pull of things like you see in your favorite Marvel movies.

Fox has the license for a particular corner of the Marvel universe. Have there been any problems with getting any of the characters under the Disney umbrella?
No. In fact, the struggle was the other way around! We have the Marvel license, so we have the access to all the great Marvel characters. We didn't have the X-Men. We've now managed to get the X-Men. Not all Marvel games get that; it's actually kind of hard these days.

Not even Marvel vs. Capcom got it in the latest game.
Right. So, the team is so incredibly fired up about having the X-Men. Some of the most popular characters in the entire universe. We're already hard at work on the X-Men. It's kind of recent that we got this, but we've pushed to get Wolverine in for launch.

If you're under Fox, what was the roadblock to get the Fox properties like the X-Men in your game?
There was definitely no resistance from Fox. Fox obviously wants us to have that license. There wasn't any undue resistance from Marvel. It's just their policy that they don't give both licenses to people, and we didn't have the X-Men. So we had to make a case for the X-Men. I don't know what factors went into ultimately granting us the X-Men from their side, but as far as I can tell, they probably wanted us to some extent to prove ourselves and get a game up that's worthy of having the entire universe. We worked closely with those guys, and they've been pretty happy with what we've done here. They're seeing our metrics in beta, and they're pretty impressed. If I had to guess, that probably greased the skids in some respects.

What about the other licenses like Spider-Man being under Sony or The Hulk still technically having ties to Universal?
Those didn't impact us. Hulk and Spidey were both part of the original deal. It was just the X-Men and the Fantastic Four that are carved out. I don't believe they're giving the Fantastic Four to anybody.

It seems like Marvel is kind of being protective of them lately. Fantastic Four has had kind of a rough run in film as of late, so that makes sense.
It probably factors in, right? We have access now, with the X-Men, to hundreds of characters.

Does the X-Men license loop in Deadpool?
It sure does. And with Deadpool 2 coming, we are going to do something really big for that.

We've seen in the past, entertainment companies not known for their work in the game industry like Disney dip their toe in with gaming, or even go all-in with gaming, then suddenly change their minds. What is preventing Fox from doing that with this initiative?
Ultimately, obviously, it's not up to me if this is them dipping their toe. I don't believe it is. I think that Fox looks at the future of entertainment and really believes that interactive is such a critical part of it. I think they're going to give us every opportunity to succeed. I think the thing that would probably cause them to remove their toe from the water would be if we don't deliver. By "we" I don't just mean this one game; we have a really compelling portfolio that we're building and I think that they're going to give us a run at it and really support us in doing that. If we can't execute, I wouldn't expect them to, at least with us, keep their toe in the water.

Marvel is on one end of the spectrum where they have a million different characters and enemy types and hero types, but Alien has always just had a couple of enemy types to take on. How does the team behind the announced Alien shooter work within those constructs to make a compelling game while only having a few enemy types from the source material?
I don't manage that game directly, so I can't really speak for their creative vision behind it, but the way that we try to look at each different IP out there is that you have to tap into what's special about it. We would never – again speaking just for my studio in L.A. – we would never take a license like Alien and try to do a game that's heavily dependent on creating a huge roster of unique characters. It just wouldn't fit. It goes back to that thing of "Does it fit like a glove with what you're building, or not?" The way that I look at Alien is that it's much more of an intense survival, maybe a little horror, and you want to immerse players in that world, and again, give them the tools to fulfill that fantasy. You only need the few characters and enemy types that you see in that world to create something compelling.

I know you said that with FoxNext, not everything needs to be an IP, but do you have a dream IP that you'd love to tackle after Marvel?
Marvel for most people in the studio is a dream come true. For most people in the industry, I would think it is. Avatar... I just adore that world, and it's going to come back in such a big way. It's hard to look past those two, but, man... yeah, I can't. To be honest, I would love to do another Marvel game. We're starting to think about what we're doing in the future, and it's been so fun partnering with those guys that I'd love to pick a different genre and do something else with them.

The Marvel license is so fun because you can get away with so much within that universe. You can do whatever you want, as long as you stay true to the characters. As long as Spider-Man is always Spider-Man and you're not giving him, like, a grappling hook - something that would be so anti to what he's about...

Going around, killing people left and right.
[Laughs] Right! Definitely. Don't give him a sniper rifle or something stupid like that!

As long as you stay true to the core of the characters, you can do so much in that world. That's been so freeing to have that.

Are there any stories you're trying to tell in Marvel Strike Force that fold into events in the comics or movies?
Yes, certainly. The big villain is a guy named Ultimus, who hasn't been touched by the MCU at all. He's a pretty compelling nemesis because he is an Eternal, the same way that Thanos is. He's sort of the same species as Thanos, but just a different race. He's part of the Kree, and as far as I understand, he's one of the few characters who beat up Thor in two out of the three battles they fought. He's incredibly powerful... about as powerful as Thanos is, but he's someone who hasn't been seen to this point in the MCU. So he's kind of someone we can have a sense of uniqueness to our game.

The overall premise is that he's been going from dimension to dimension mind-controlling heroes. So he's been building an army of mind-controlled Hulks and Spider-Mans and Wolverines, and he's raising that army to take over the universe. He's now at what is considered the Nexus Earth. This Earth is sort of the key to every other Earth that exists. You, as a commander of an elite unit of S.H.I.E.L.D. called Strike, are tasked with recruiting heroes to prevent him from taking over this Earth that would basically unlock his ability to rule the entire universe.

Are there any concerns with doing the multiverse? That can get real complicated real quick.
What's great about that is what it all just really boils down to for the super casual player is that it's a beautiful conceit for why you might be controlling a Hulk who is fighting another Hulk. You'll see red eyes on the guys who are mind-controlled and that's all they really need to understand. Then, through the campaign, we tell the story. For people who really want it, they can dive real deep into the multiverse thing and have as much as they want.

Marvel Strike Force is currently available to download on iOS and Android.
