Now that development is complete for Final Fantasy XV proper, the team's attention has shifted over to DLC. Square Enix has released some information about what players can expect to see in the game following its release, and plans include three episodes – each centered around one of Noctis' cool buddies – as well as an expansion that includes four-player co-op.
Square says that each of the three DLC episodes features gameplay that's tailored to each of the characters, and that players can acquire weapons in those episodes that can be used in the main campaign. Following those, an expansion called Comrades will let players tackle monsters as a group. DLC will be available individually and as part of the game's $24.99 season pass.
In addition to those details, the company released a new CG trailer for the game. It shows a vision of a bleak future, should Noctis fail, as well as an important lesson about the hazards of distracted driving.
