Ubisoft has done a great job supporting Rainbow Six Siege since its 2015 launch, adding new characters, maps, and cosmetic items to the tactical shooter. Today, the studio also added a new PvE mode, which lets squads take on waves of, well, zombies. If you're not sure how exactly weird monsters fit into the larger structure of the game, don't worry – Leo walks Ben Hanson and me (and you!) through the basics.
The Outbreak mode features rebalanced operators, tuned to better take on the more action-focused waves of monsters. As we soon find out, that doesn't mean you can just approach the game like a standard arcade shooter. Also, if you leave the match early it really leaves your team of three in a lurch. Stick around and see Leo pop open a slew of loot boxes envelopes, including several super-gross guns. Ish!
