The latest Diablo III patch is live on PC and PlayStation 4, bringing Blizzard's game up to version 2.5.0. It adds a variety of quality-of-life enhancements, a new Primal Ancients item tier, and more.
One of the biggest changes is the introduction of the Armory, which allows players to create and swap between five different character builds for each of their characters. It's a great time-saver for players who have multiple sets for different situations, such as playing with friends or farming rifts solo. Crafting materials now have their own tab in the UI, and they won't take up inventory space anymore.
The update also adds a Primal Ancients tier of loot, which is very rare loot that features perfect attribute stats as well as the maximum number of sockets (though weapons aren't socketed). They're designed to be the ultimate carrot for end-game players to chase.
The patch (click below for the full contents) comes in advance of next week's launch of Season 10, which is the first time Seasons will be available on console.

Our Take
Well, back to Diablo III I go. If you haven't kept up with the game since it launched, the steady stream of improvements have changed the base game in a wide variety of ways. Take a look at my feature to see what had changed as of a few months ago.
