Introversion Software, creators of games with simple, colorful graphics and deceptively simple systems like Prison Architect, Darwinina, and Uplink, have announced the title and surprise launch date of their next game, Scanner Sombre.
The studio's first dive into the first-person games, Scanner Sombre has you navigating dark caves populated only by a sea of dots which form spattered outlines of the environments you're navigating. Introversion likens the game to Gone Home, Proteus, and Firewatch, which should give you some clue as to the game's direction as a "cave exploration experience." The game hits this Wednesday, April 26, and you can watch its trippy trailer below.
