Why Assassin's Creed Origins' Microtransactions Are Annoying But Unnecessary


As microtransactions are appearing more frequently than ever, it should surprise no one that Ubisoft's latest release Assassin's Creed Origins has embraced the business model. They come in the form of Helix Credits, and although they've been a part of the series before, the variety of what you can purchase has increased quite a bit.

The game's real-money currency lets you buy just about everything in the game, but is it worthwhile? And is there in-game pressure to do so? Suriel Vasquez joins me to answer these questions and more.
