Originally announced back in March 2016, we now have a better idea of what The Legend of Bum-bo is, and when we will be able to play it.
The game is a prequel to The Binding of Isaac, but with a caveat, according to co-developer Edmund McMillen, who wrote, "I like to call it a prequel, but what I mean by that outside of the obvious themes isn't something I can really explain without spoiling too much," on the game's announcement blog. You can check out the game's trailer below.

As far as how the game plays, it's a match-four, turn-based, randomly generated RPG and has a Paper Mario-like visual style.

Our Take
The Binding of Isaac didn't end up doing much for me, just because the genre doesn't do much for me. But I love a good match-three (or in this case, four) RPG. I will definitely be checking this one out.
