Digital card games are huge with games like Hearthstone making a ton of money and Capcom wants a piece of that pie with the Street Fighter-themed Hado Stone.
Eons ago, a wizard took the inexplicable and malleable energy known as the Hado, a central piece of Street Fighter lore, and turned it into a stone. After the fall of Shadaloo, Ed engages in an ancient card battle over the Hado Stone in his attempts to defeat the champions of Osaka.
The game functions by choosing different heroes – Ryu for balance, Cammy for speed, Zanghief for throws, Menat for tricks – and then creating a deck underneath them. "If you're not sure who to choose," the website says, "then trust in the heart of the cards!"
You can find the game's explanation and genuinely extensive backstory at the website here. If you want to actually play Hado Stone, check it out right here.
Our Take
This is actually pretty cool and I kind of want this to be on phones. That said, now we have wizards in the Street Fighter universe, which means we need an actual wizard character.
