Bill Gates Delivers Huge Secret Santa Gamer Gift To Lucky Person

Redditgifts is a website where you can sign up, send a randomly-matched person a gift, then receive one in return. Sometimes you get something that makes you think "well, it's the thought that counts, I guess." Other times, you get a package from Bill Gates.

Redditgifts user Aerrix was matched up with the Microsoft multibillionaire, but didn't know it. After coming home from delivering her own gift to Gates, she saw a FedEx "missed delivery" door slip that had been posted about an hour earlier. She called them to see if they could swing back around. They did, and Aerrix got to see what she had gotten from Gates the same morning she shipped her package off.

As is to be expected from a top executive at Microsoft, Gates' package contained several Xbox-related items. It had a Minecraft Edition Xbox One S, three special-edition Xbox One controllers, twelve months of Xbox Live Gold, and copies of Rise of the Tomb Raider and Halo 5. The package also included a number of Nintendo-related items, including Zelda-themed mittens for both Aerrix and her dog, a Zelda blanket, a papercraft Master Sword, an NES Classic Edition, and a photo frame featuring pixelated renditions of Link and Zelda, complete with an image of Aerrix and her husband altered to looked as though Gates was in the picture as well. Many of the gifts included personal notes from Gates as well.

It's an enormous haul, and the kind of thing everyone hopes for when they sign up for a site like Redditgifts. You can find photos of the haul and read Aerrix's full story here
