Check With Your Internet Provider Before Downloading Xbox One X Games

I never had to worry about my internet data cap until I started testing Xbox One X. An alert from Comcast told me that I had exceeded my 1 terabyte data usage plan. I had no idea Comcast had capped me. I've had the service for years, and I apparently missed the paperwork or emails that informed me of changes to my account. Since I went over my cap, I was going to be charged an additional $10 for every 50 gigabytes I went over. I was able to change my plan to unlimited (for an extra $50 per month), and avoided getting charged an extra $20 for the 100-plus GB I was over on my plan. I was about to be charged $20 just for re-downloading Gears of War 4 onto the Xbox One X.

So, please, contact your internet provider to see what your cap is. Also check to see if your Xbox One X is set to automatically download updates. Most of the games are sizeable now, thanks to the 4K assets. Quantum Break weighs in at a whopping 178 GB, thanks to the episode pack. Halo 5: Guardians is up to 109 GB, Titanfall is at 68 GB, Forza Motorsport 7 (even without the final Xbox One X update) is up to 95 GB, and Dead Rising 4 now clocks in at 59 GB. The 4K era of game is going to crush data caps, and I doubt we'll see many providers upping their base services anytime soon.
