A few weeks back, Capcom held a Monster Hunter: World event in its Osaka offices. We hopped on the nearest plane (it was at the airport) and flew over to check it out. We played the game from the start for about 10 hours, and we returned with a ton of video footage and a whole lot of enthusiasm for the game. Today, Leo, Dan Tack, and I check out an epic hunt against a Jyuratodus. If you're not up on your Monster Hunter: World lore, that's the big mud-fish thing.
We begin our tour with a quick look at the game's Astera hub, which is where you take on quests, craft items, fill your bellies, and do all that other town stuff. After that, our four-person group heads out to the Wildspire Waste to battle Jyuratodus. As you'll soon learn, he's not the only big game that's hanging around in this area.

Look for Monster Hunter: World on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 26. A PC version is due out sometime after that.
