What To Watch This Weekend: Extra Life, Blizzcon, And Splatoon 2

If this week's list of events is a little short, that's because everyone is either getting out of the way to the League of Legends World Championship or is big enough to compete. Either way, there are a lot of major championships this weekend.

It all comes down to this. The League of Legends world championship match is between SK Telecom 1 and Samsung Galaxy, the winner of which will become the world's best League of Legends team. The match is already over but you can watch an archive and rebroadcast over the weekend. (Stream / Schedule)

In other world championship news, Brawlhalla is having one of its own, split across one-versus-one and two-versus-two championships! (Streams and Schedule)

Not to be outdown, Blizzard is having several championships of its own, for Hearthstone, Overwatch, StarCraft, World of WarCraft, and Heroes of the Storm, all at Blizzcon. (Streams / Schedule)

It's not a championship, but the Splatoon 2 Squidstorm 2017 tournament, held in Boston this year, is the a major event for the Splatoon community, so if you're interested in watching some high-level inking action, check it out. (Stream and Schedule)

If you're hyped about Dota 2's new patch and game mode, make sure to check out the latest Dota PIT tournament, which has major teams (like International champions Team Liquid) playing the new patch at the professional level. (Stream / Schedule)

You can also catch the last stop on the Tekken 7 World Tour in Paris (as part of the Paris Games Week convention) before the Finals in San Francisco, California next week. (Stream and Schedule)

We also have the Smite Pro League Super Regionals, which pits several major teams from the same region against each other. What makes these regionals super? Tune in to find out, hopefully! (Stream / Schedule)

And if you're interested in engaging with #content while helping out the kids, tune into Game Informer's Extra Life stream, where we'll be marathon streaming until 8am tomorrow morning to help raise money for Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, Minnesota! (Stream and Schedule)

That's it for this weekend! Let us know if we missed an event, or if there's a scene you'd like us to cover, in the comments below.
