Today Nintendo revealed that the company was bringing a mini version of the Super Nintendo to stores in September, packaging the following the games:
- Contra III: The Alien Wars
- Donkey Kong Country
- EarthBound
- Final Fantasy III
- F-ZERO
- Kirby Super Star
- Kirby’s Dream Course
- The Legend of Zelda™: A Link to the Past
- Mega Man X
- Secret of Mana
- Star Fox
- Star Fox 2
- Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
- Super Castlevania IV
- Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts
- Super Mario Kart
- Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
- Super Mario World
- Super Metroid
- Super Punch-Out!!
- Yoshi’s Island
That's a lot of good games, I must admit. However, I'm hesitant to get my hopes up for this considering just how quickly the NES Classic was discontinued even if I did want to get one. However, I don't really want one, truth be told. What I actually want is the option to buy these games piecemeal on my Switch.
What about you, reader? Are you already ordering a SNES Classic or giving it a hard pass?
