Michael Forgey, an executive producer at Monolith, passed away from cancer in March earlier this year. Now, Monolith is memorializing him as a downloadable companion in the upcoming Middle-earth: Shadow of War.
Forgey is transformed into Forthog the Orc-Slayer who will randomly arrive on the scene to take out some orcs that are doing their best to ruin the player's day. As a musician, Forgey was part of a band made up of Monolith members appropriately titled Orc Slayer, making his role as a warrior with a severe Orc hatred.
Forthog is downloadable content that costs $3.99, $3.50 of each purchase going to Michael Forgey's family through December 31, 2019.
Check out the trailer below to see Forthog the Orc-Slayer in action. Shadow of War releases on October 10, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
