The Exciting Sights Of TGS 2017

Another Tokyo Game Show is in full swing, and every year we try to bring the experience to you. The event may not be the powerhouse it once was for reveals, but there's still plenty of enthusiasm in the air for all things video games. From amazing cosplayers to cool booth setups, we snapped shots of the show floor this year. We'll be updating this gallery through the weekend, so be sure to check back for more photos that capture the show's essence.

Cosplayers are all around to celebrate games. I snapped this by the Final Fantasy XIV booth.

Evil Within 2, called Psycho Break 2 in Japan, received top billing and had a line to play it all day.

Hot off its release date announcement of January 26, Monster Hunter: World was also a popular attraction at the show. I had a lot of fun with the co-op demo I played. Stay tuned for impressions!

Even in Japan, you can't escape the fanfare for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

You also can't escape all things adorable and pink....

Part of the magic of TGS is you never know who you'll bump into. Suda 51 was excited to discuss that The 25th Ward: Silver Case remake is coming to North America and Europe.

With the recent announcement of the Yakuza team's Fist of the North Star, Sega made sure people took notice.

Here are outfits from Sword Art Online and Kantai Collection.

The Atelier series is celebrating its 20th anniversary. I can't believe it's been that long!

Nintendo doesn't attend TGS, but Koei Tecmo is also developing Fire Emblem Warriors. Seeing Fire Emblem at the show just made me smile. You have to admit that retro banner is a nice touch.

So let's talk about these weird Final Fantasy XV promotions for mobile...

Because I just can't wrap my head around them ...

A chance to pose with a rabite and the mana sword? Like I'd pass that up. Dork card earned.

Dating sims are popular for both genders. Not pictured: This booth let you get your makeup done and also held pretend wedding ceremonies to handsome boys.

In case you need a new phone case...

A look at some of the chaos as everyone rushes to Yakuza.

I always enjoy seeing limited edition consoles on display, such as this Grand Turismo one.

I'm not doing a good job if I'm not posting at least one Love Live! photo.

The game may be out, but that doesn't mean we can't marvel (no pun intended) at that sweet setup.

In case you get the sudden urge to cosplay while at the show. Believe me, I've seen it happen.

We'll continue updating this gallery through the next few days, so be sure to check back to see more of the show!
