According to website TechCrunch, Pokémon Go developer Niantic is settling a class-action lawsuit against the company stemming from last summer's Pokémon Go Fest that disappointed with its connectivity troubles.
The payout is a reported $1,575,000, covering the costs such as airfare and hotels some attendees may have picked up traveling to the hitch-filled event.
Documents filed in a Chicago court apparently state that a settlement website is scheduled to go up on May 25, and attendees will get an email with more information.

Our Take
At the time Niantic reimbursed attendees' tickets to the event and gave them $100 in game currency, but it's good to see them help out those who traveled to the event as well. To what extent members of the class action suit will be covered, however, is unknown.
