We've known of a while that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would have Amiibo-based bonuses, such as the Wolf Link Amiibo offering the chance to summon the creature/hero of time in-game. But what exactly do the game's own Amiibo do?
Nintendo recently revealed just that, and the bonuses are bit... underwhelming. Each of the game's five Amiibo will offer a different, random number of bonuses, and other, more rare bonuses.
Link (Archer): Fish and meat, and possibly a bow or arrow.
Link (Rider): Mushrooms, a weapon, and possibly a horse item.
Zelda: Plants, and possibly a shield.
Guardian: Metal boxes "containing useful items," possibly ancient parts.
Bokoblin: Meat, and possibly a club.
Additionally, other kinds of Amiibo (Nintendo didn't clarify if this means all Amiibo or just a select few) will grant additional meat or fish.

Our Take
Can't say I'm too excited about any of these bonuses. Then again, I haven't played the game, so maybe I will soon be starving - nay, begging, PLEADING - for random amounts of meat and fish.
