Sega Announces First Of The North Star Game From Yakuza Team

Alongside the announcement of Yakuza Kiwami 2, Sega had another sort-of-Yakuza surprise up its sleeve.

If you're unfamiliar with Fist of the North Star, it's a hyper-violent action anime that takes place in a Mad Max-style wasteland. It is considered a classic by many.

Right now, the game is only confirmed for Japan and it has a good chance of staying that way. It is developed by the team that makes the Yakuza games, and looks like it is using the same engine. You can check out the trailer below, which promises more details at Tokyo Game Show at the end of September.

Our Take
I've only seen a little bit of Fist of the North Star, but I understand that it is considered a classic by many. The Yakuza team seems like a good fit for the anime's crazy action.
