Metal Gear Solid is known for its secrets and Easter Eggs. Creator Hideo Kojima loves to throw players for a loop, a knack which was apparent even in the 1998 PlayStation entry. But aside from all the intentionally-laid secrets, there are few even Kojima didn't want players to find.

Learn how puddles are actually holes, what actually happens when Meryl steals Johnny Sasaki's uniform, and how the tunnel in the escape sequence is more of a treadmill.
