Monster Hunter XX On Nintendo Switch Gets First Trailer, Cross-Play Support Revealed

Earlier this week, Capcom revealed that Monster Hunter XX is coming to Nintendo Switch in Japan. Today, Capcom revealed more information and a new trailer.

The 3DS game Monster Hunter XX is an enhanced version of Monster Hunter X (known as Monster Hunter Generations in North America).

Capcom announced today that both the Switch and 3DS versions of Monster Hunter XX can swap save data and that cross-play will be supported, so that players from either platform can play together in online sessions.

No plans for a North American release have been revealed. Monster Hunter XX will come to the Switch in Japan on August 25.

Our Take
This game seems like a good fit for the Switch since you can play on the go. Monster Hunter XX hasn't been released outside of Japan, so it's unclear whether the game and port will makes its way to the West. Perhaps we'll here more at E3.
