We last saw MercurySteam's game Raiders of the Broken Planet at E3 a few months back, and we were impressed enough by what we saw to put it on our list of best indie games at the show. Today, the studio has revealed a slew of details about the third-person action shooter, including the release date, pricing, and a CG Gamescom trailer.
The game will be arriving in two pieces on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC starting Sept. 22. The prologue is available at no cost, and it includes two missions split across four stages, multiple characters, and complete access to single and multiplayer game modes.
If you like what you see, you can download the game's first campaign, called Alien Myths. It's priced at $9.99, and it includes additional story campaign, missions, and characters.

MercurySteam says that one of the hooks in the game is its Antagonist system, in which a player joins four-player co-op matches with the intention of preventing them from completing their objectives, fighting alongside the A.I. baddies.
Additional campaigns will be coming after launch, and they're designed to be played in any order.
MercurySteam will be showing off the game at Gamescom next week, so be sure to check back for more hands-on impressions as we head toward the game's release.
